GREATER SHREVEPORT CHAMBER OF COMMERCE
AWARDS THE CHOIR A STAR ON THE "WALK OF STARS"

At its annual meeting on January 18th, 2007 the Greater Shreveport Chamber of Commerce presented the choir with a star on its walk of stars placed on the riverfront in Shreveport and symbolized with the magnificent trophy. The actual star will go in place at a ceremony on the riverfront in late February. Past recipients include Elvis Presley, Van Cliburn, Kix Brooks, Hal Sutton, David Toms, Joe Ferguson, Terry Bradshaw, Tom Jarrel, Bill Joyce and may other notables with Shreveport connections. This was the first group award.

The dinner was a "sell-out" with representatives from all of the business, industry, civic, and government agencies in the region. Not only did the choir sing but a ten minute visual presentation was made covering the spectacular history of the choir.
